Schemes, disassembly, repair and review Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus

As a result of disassembly, the new Samsung Galaxy S9 + smartphone was assigned a maintainability rating of 4 out of 10.

Note that the maximum score of 10 corresponds to the most easily repairable devices. Thus, the model in question can be repaired if necessary, but it will not be easy to do. Note, exactly the same rating was awarded last year's model Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. In general, many features of this device are typical for the novelty. For example, as before, many components in the Galaxy S9 + are modular, they can be replaced independently of each other.

The battery can be replaced if necessary, but it will be difficult to do, as it is fixed with a large amount of glue. At the same time, the battery has the same characteristics as the Galaxy S8 Plus and Galaxy Note7 battery: 3.85 V, 3500 mAh, 13.48 Wh. The front and back panels are made of glass, which increases the risk of their damage, and also complicates the initial stage of disassembly of the smartphone. To replace the display in case of a breakdown, you need to remove the glass back cover and disassemble the entire smartphone, which uses a large amount of glue.

It is noted that in many ways the model Samsung Galaxy S9 + is similar to the Galaxy S8 Plus, but there are some differences. They are due to the use of some new components, for example, a dual camera module, as well as a variable aperture in the main camera module. In particular, in the process of disassembling the smartphone is worth paying attention to the features of the variable aperture.

As a rule, curved petals (5 or more) are used in the diaphragms of the chambers, which can be folded and thereby change the opening of the diaphragm within certain limits, while retaining the almost circular shape of the hole. But in the design of the camera Samsung Galaxy S9 + smartphone uses only two petals. In fact, they can be compared with curtains rather than petals. If necessary, these curtains are closed, but can transmit light due to the presence of a circular hole in the central part.
