TL866II Plus – TL866A/CS Software Download

The TL866II Plus is a universal IC programmer from XGecu (formerly known as Autoelectric). It is an updated and more modern version of the popular TL866A and TL866CS.

Key Features of the TL866II Plus:

  • Supports over 15,000 ICs from various manufacturers.
  • Works with EEPROM, Flash, SPI, NAND, GAL, PAL, microcontrollers, and many other ICs.
  • Fully automatic detection of the connected IC (where available).
  • ISP (In-System Programming) support – programming directly on the board (without desoldering).
  • Compatible with Windows (XP and above), with third-party solutions for Linux and macOS.
  • USB 2.0 interface, also powered by USB (no external power supply required).
  • Higher operating speed and stability compared to the TL866A/CS.

What it's used for:

  • Reading, writing, and erasing EEPROM (e.g., BIOS chips on motherboards, laptops, and video cards).
  • Flashing microcontrollers (PIC, AVR, STM32, etc.).
  • Repairing consumer electronics, automotive electronics, and computer equipment.
  • Hobbies, amateur radio, circuit development and testing.

TL866A and TL866CS

The TL866A and TL866CS were the first versions of universal microchip programmers released by Autoelectric (now XGecu). They became very popular among radio enthusiasts, electronics repairers, and service engineers due to their simplicity, low price, and wide microchip support.

Key Features of the TL866A / TL866CS

  • Supports over 13,000 chips: EEPROM, Flash, microcontrollers (PIC, AVR, etc.), GAL, PAL, and some CPLDs.
  • USB 2.0 interface, powered via USB (no external power supply required).
  • The TL866A supports ISP (In-System Programming) – programming chips directly on the board via a header.
  • The TL866CS is a more affordable version without the ISP function, but the rest of the functionality is identical.
  • Supports automatic detection of some chips.
  • Compatible with Windows XP and higher (via proprietary XGecu software).
  • They are significantly slower and have fewer features than the modern TL866II Plus, but are still in demand.

What is the TL866A/CS used for?

  • Reflashing BIOS chips (motherboards, video cards, laptops).
  • Repairing home and automotive electronics.
  • Programming PIC/AVR microcontrollers.
  • Hobbies and amateur radio.
