Samsung Galaxy S9 has lenses that are equipped with magnets
Found inside the Samsung S9 and S9 Plus lenses are equipped with magnets to match the copper coils surrounding the mechanism of the module. This was done to manually control the aperture, that is, the focal length, as described by the author of the JerryRigEverything channel on YouTube. He also conducted tests of both smartphones, which demonstrate their strength. The new series of flagships of the company is very poorly repairable, they scored 4 points out of 10.
It turns out that Samsung was the first who managed to implement a customizable aperture. The usual model is equipped with a single module of the main camera with an optical stabilizer, and the version with the Plus accessory has two modules, and both can boast of optical image stabilization. The main lens on both devices has focal length f / 1.5, and the additional lens in S9 Plus - f / 2.4. This solution on the last gadget allows you to take photos with the effect of bokeh, that is, portrait shots. We still do not have the results of testing the cameras, so it's still difficult to judge the quality of photos and video.
